2/28/2012 - School system considers traffic flow changes
MRNA attended a meeting at Senita Valley Elementary School to discuss traffic flow at the school. Andy Squire, aide to Ward 4 Council Member Shirley Scott, made recommendations to redesignate teacher and visitor parking areas and reroute traffic flow. If approved, the resulting plan will meet safety requirements while preserving the Mesquite Ranch Marquette Street access as a key route for pedestrian foot and bicycle traffic. The work could be completed in three months. Mr. Squire also suggested that a donation of State land east of Mesquite Ranch could provide access directly to Poorman Road.
